Nunn Opens New Division in Amarillo, Texas
March 2012 Update-
Nunn Construction, Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of their Amarillo, Texas office. Rick Fleming has joined Nunn Construction as Division Manager, and will be responsible for all operations in their Texas Division. Rick has lived in Amarillo and worked in the construction industry since 1983, and looks forward to furthering Nunn's excellent commerical construction repution from Colorado to the Texas Panhandle. Citizens Bank - Amarillo
Nunn is currently constructing a new 9,000 sf full-service banking facility for Citizens Bank in Amarillo, Texas, designed by Lavin Architects. With four drive-thru lanes, the new bank occupies one of the busiest intersections in Amarillo at I-27 and Georgia Street. Some of the highlights of this eye-catching facility include a structural steel frame, exposed heavy timber trusses, natural stone (both exterior and interior), stucco, concrete roof tiles, and an abundance of natural lighting. A full-height stone fireplace anchors the high-ceiling lobby and emphasizes the quality of craftsmanship used throughout the building. This project is scheduled to complete in early June 2012.
Academy Christian Church Phase I Addition

The Academy Christian Church Phase I Addition, Colorado Springs, CO, currently under construction, consists of a 23,905 sqft. addition to the existing Academy Christian Church. This addition will double the size of the existing building. The improvements will provide the church nearly twice the parking space, more than double the worship space for the congregation and the site infrastructure to support future additions. The project is scheduled to be complete in March 2012.
Western State College of Colorado - Historic Taylor Hall Renovation
Western State College of Colorado - Taylor Hall Renovation was completed in June 2011. This project was a 102,000 sqft. major renovation to restore and update the 1910 Historic Taylor Hall. The renovation incorporated the most recent sustainable building practices with the expectation of receiving LEED Gold Certification. Taylor Hall houses a new welcome center, administrative offices, theater, radio station, and classrooms.
Air Academy Federal Credit Union Headquarters
Nunn recently completed the New Air Academy Federal Credit Union Headquarters Building in Colorado Springs. The 55,340 SF Facility, designed by The Larson Group, is a four story steel framed structure featuring large expanses of glass and stone. Sunshades and light shelves have been utilized to shade the building's interior from direct sunlight and reduce energy consumption.
