Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will work with the BD Director to build relationships, add value, and uncover opportunities in the marketplace across Nunn’s three office locations.

This is a full-time position based out of Colorado Springs, while supporting our three office locations. Working under the direction of the Business Development Director, this person collaborates with our Seller-Doers and marketing team.  It is essential that this individual strives to provide value to our clients and the community. This person will embody the Nunn Construction’s culture and values, being able to effectively convey externally WHO WE ARE!

Requirements Include:

  • 3-5 years workplace experience
  • Must be willing to travel in Colorado
  • Must be a resident of the United States
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Market research to identify market trends, potential clients, and new project opportunities; focus on pk-12, higher education, and municipal market sectors.
  • Build and develop client and industry relationships.
  • Develop project specific win strategies, including competitor analysis.
  • Participate in project interviews & preparations.
  • Work with seller-doers to maximize their effectiveness in business development.
  • Host client appreciation events and activities.
  • Be an active participant in client events, community, and professional organizations.
  • Schedule and implement conferences / speaker engagements to showcase our team.
  • Log BD activities & opportunities in CRM, keeping information up to date.
  • Embody & convey the mission, vision, and values of Nunn Construction


  • A/E/C knowledge preferred, and an interest to learn about the construction industry.
  • Self-driven individual, who can share knowledge and collaborate with our team.
  • Articulate and thoughtful, an excellent communicator.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • We pursue projects throughout Colorado, must be willing to travel.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Must be flexible, and a team player.


  • Vehicle allowance and gas card.
  • Medical/Vision & Dental Insurance, 90% employer contribution for employees + 60% contribution for dependents. Eligible first of the month after 60 days of employment. ​
  • Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) – eligible the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
  • Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) – eligible the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)- 3 weeks of PTO accrued at 2.31 hours per week, beginning at time of employment up to 120 hours per year, and the maximum PTO an employee will be allowed to accrue is 200 hours.
  • Paid Holidays – New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (2), Christmas (2).
  • 401(K) Retirement Savings Plan – eligible the first month after six months ​of employment. Company match is 100% of the first 4% of salary (and bonus). Employee deferrals and company match are 100% vested.
  • Short/Long Term Disability – eligible the first month after six months of employment.
  • Fiscal Year End Bonus – Normally 0-15% of annual salary dependent on profitability of company and individual performance. First-year bonus will be prorated based on months of service.
