Nunn Construction is a Construction Manager/General Contractor specializing in commercial building projects that matter to Colorado communities including Municipal, Educational, Non-Profit/Faith-Based, Healthcare, and Commercial Office projects. Our Headquarters office is in Colorado Springs with additional offices in Pueblo and Durango, Colorado.

Requirements Include

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in security, access control, or administrative roles, preferably in a construction or industrial setting
  • Knowledge of security procedures and protocols
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using Office software including but not limited to Word and Excel for record-keeping and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in the construction industry

Job Summary

A Construction Security Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and administrative efficiency of construction sites by managing the screening, badging, and overseeing the administrative duties related to site access. This role involves working closely with construction site managers, security personnel, and administrative staff to maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

Badging and Access Control

  • Oversee badging process, maintain, and revoke access badges for employees, contractors, and visitors in compliance with site-specific protocols.
  • Ensure that only authorized individuals are granted access to construction zones.

Administrative Duties

  • Review and assess documents, identification, and credentials to confirm eligibility for the badging process.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases related to personnel access, badges, and credentials.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security protocols and procedures.
  • Coordinate with construction site management and administrative personnel to streamline access procedures.
  • Generate regular reports on access control activities and security incidents.

Communication and Training

  • Communicate access procedures and requirements to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and training to new employees, contractors, and visitors regarding site access policies and safety protocols.
  • Address inquiries and concerns related to access control promptly and professionally.
  • Communicate directly with facilities badging department for fingerprinting and training appointments.

Compensation

  • $18-21 per hour (depending on experience)

  • Medical/Vision/Dental, Healthcare & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)– eligible the first of the month following 60 days of employment. ​
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)–2 weeks per year accrued at 1.54 hours per week, beginning first day of employment.
  • Paid Holidays–New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
  • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan–eligible the first month following six months ​of employment. Company match is 100% of the first 4% of salary (and bonus). Employee referrals and company match are 100% vested.
  • Short/Long Term Disability–eligible for the first of the month after six months of employment.
