The newly renovated Bricker Elementary underwent a strategic renovation to enhance both its functionality and aesthetics as part of Harrison School District #2’s Bond Improvements. Aligning with overall goals of the Bond Improvements, Bricker’s renovations focused on mechanical and equipment upgrades, including new casework, paint, and flooring throughout the school. The enhancements not only elevated classrooms but also transformed the learning commons from a dark library, into a vibrant space equipped with upgrade technology, furniture, and light fixtures. A new conference room off the gym provides an additional space for staff collaboration.

The Nunn team was able to include an alternate halfway through construction during the corridor flooring replacement to replace receptacles with new plates. We helped the team analyze some site-specific improvements including the suggestion to eliminate a data rack allowed for better fencing around the back transformer, and the front irrigation was replaced with improved fencing. Additionally, a gym ceiling tile replacement provided an aesthetic improvement with new tiles sourced from reserves.
