As a part of the new development in the Pine Creek neighborhood, Academy District 20 selected the Design/Build team of HCM and Nunn Construction to design and build a new elementary school in an accelerated timeline. Nunn + HCM worked together to adapt an existing facility design to the specifications and site requirements and accelerated the design and permitting phase.

The new elementary school has a dyslexia-informed design for the specific programming focus of the elementary school. Break-out spaces, pod learning design and flexible community spaces were main features of the design as well as outdoor learning and play areas which highlight the unique Colorado landscape.
