Oak Creek Elementary School, built originally in 1983, had been left untouched since a small addition project in the mid-nineties. In just more than four months, Nunn Construction completed a full interior remodel of the school to refresh the school’s spaces and aging building systems.

The project involved a completely reconfigured and upgraded media center where the original library was located. Additional upgraded spaces included a fully renovated gym, remodeled kitchen with new food service and serving equipment, and a completely replaced exterior playground. Every other room in the school received new finishes that included new ceilings, lighting, flooring, paint, casework, and plumbing fixtures.

The school’s HVAC and electrical systems received a complete overhaul. Existing ductwork, VAVs, AHUs, boilers, and pumps were all replaced to provide the school more reliable, energy-efficient temperature control. Air conditioning, which the school previously lacked, was also added to enhance comfort for students and staff.

Nunn Construction completed this renovation under the quoted GMP, allowing our team to return funds to Harrison School District #2 for additional projects at Oak Creek Elementary and other schools within the district.
