Market
Many of the schools in Widefield School District are at or over capacity, creating crowded classrooms and inefficient programming. They currently have 1,400 students learning in portable trailers with student enrollment continually increasing. In November 2017, the Widefield community passed measures 3A and 3B, a bond and mill levy. One of the major needs within the community includes building a new PreK-8 School. The new school will reduce the number of students in portable trailers, reduce crowded classrooms, improve programming, and provide a neighborhood school to their growing neighborhoods out east.
Widefield School District 3 recently announced it has selected Nunn Construction as its general contractor to build the new preK-8th grade facility. The school will be located in Lorson Ranch east of the intersection of Fontaine Boulevard and Marksheffel Road. Nunn Construction is honored to be working with Widefield School District to enhance the educational experience for 900 students, allowing them to move out of portables and into 21st century classrooms. Our team is committed to maximizing each construction dollar and producing a quality building to serve the students and community for decades to come.
