The Downtown Studio Campus at Pikes Peak State College reconfigured spaces on the first level to better serve campus students and staff. Many of these spaces were originally set up for arts and performing arts classes, which had been relocated to other areas and needed to be re-designed to meet new uses. Campus security also needed to be located closer to the entrance to allow for better surveillance and access for visitors. Staff offices and tutoring areas, as well as computer labs and a better more open gathering and cafe area, were main priorities in addition to upgrading air quality circulation.
