The Emergency Medical Services and Plant Operations Building houses Southwest Memorial Hospital’s expanding fleet of ambulances that serve Montezuma County and surrounding areas. The new 10,200 sq. ft. building provides protection from the elements and an indoor space to maintain their vehicles and equipment. Having a fully enclosed structure increases the effectiveness and life span of their ambulances, equipment, and supplies, creating long-term cost savings for the hospital. The building features five ambulance bays, three bedrooms, a kitchen, workout room, and a training room.

The sleeping quarters allow emergency staff to remain on duty for 24 hour shifts. The EMS Training Center, a nationally accredited EMT and continuing education training program for first responders and community members, is now located within the new EMS Building.

Nunn Construction completed the EMS Building while expanding other areas of the Southwest Memorial Hospital Campus including: a new Medical Office Building, Patient Wing Expansion, and a renovated Emergency Room drop-off area. The entire campus expansion is on track for completion in the Summer of 2018.

  • Fully Operational Health Campus During Construction
  • Expansion to Existing Health Campus
  • Sleeping Facilities for 24 Hour Shift Employees
  • 5 Ambulance Bays with Overhead Rolling Doors
“Nunn keeps patient care and experience top-of-mind in every move they make. Working around a fully-functioning hospital is not an easy task, but Nunn Construction makes it painless for our team.”
