Inspiring a deep sense of hope for our neighbors in need, Nunn Construction built the Springs Rescue Mission’s new resource center and year-round shelter, focusing on the men and women in our community that need these spaces to survive.

Four existing metal buildings were reconstructed and joined together with small additions to create two new facilities on the SRM campus. A first of it’s kind in El Paso County, the year round low-barrier shelter can accommodate up to 300 people a night. The new resource center provides showers, a communal gathering space, computer access, laundry facilities, and permanent office space for partner agencies.

The existing building upgrades include new wall framing, finishes, lighting, mechanical systems, electrical systems, life safety upgrades, and repair of exterior metal siding and roofing.

Nunn Construction worked alongside the Owner, City of Colorado Springs, and the Architect, adding scope as additional funding was secured to maximize each construction dollar donated by community benefactors.
